For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautiful Montblanc No 149 MEISTERSTUCK Fountain Pen in the original box in Near Mint Condition. This fountain pen has been internally cleaned, put back together, and is now in wonderful writing condition. Guaranteed to be an authentic Montblanc pen. 

This Montblanc has the plastic feed with horizontal combs, has two section barrel construction, 18K nib, and brass filler mechanism with brass threads. The cap clip ring banding is stamped, "W. Germany" and Serial number "101813". We can date this pen to circa 1985-1991.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the gorgeous Gold Filled Clip and Cap Banding which, display absolutely no wear. The cap banding is stamped with, "MONTBLANC MIESTERSTUCK No 149". The transparency of the ink-view window is "Water Clear". There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Montblanc 149 Fountain Pen measures 5 3/4" in length capped and 6 5/8" posted.

I have taken apart the piston filler to internally clean the pen. Put it back together, sealed the threads, and tested the filling mechanism with water to make sure it fills as it should. The Piston Filling System works as it was designed to.

The Montblanc NIB is a 18K/750 Bi-Color NIB. The 18K Montblanc NIB has a medium point measuring roughly 0.61mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with a fine to broad stroke/line. The writing sample provided in the image has the fine line measuring .55mm to a broad stroke measuring at 1.18mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

The Montblanc 149 comes with the original clamshell box. The condition of the box is excellent with no ink stains. 

This is a fabulous example of the iconic Montblanc No. 149 Diplomat Fountain Pen in restored condition. I would grade this writing instrument in Excellent to Near Mint Condition - this pen has been handled very little and the condition displays it. This Montblanc 149 is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
