For your consideration we are offering for sale this 1944 Parker Golden Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen Set in restored condition. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. This set has magnificent golden pearl color.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Split Arrow Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrels and caps to bring back the vibrancy of the Fountain Pen & Pencil and to protect it's finish.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled Clip with no brassing and the chevron cap band displays a wonderful gold filled color with no brassing. The top jewels are black and have polished them to shine. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 4 in the first quarter". The transparency of the barrel is fantastic, albeit with ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no personalizations or monograms to either of the writing instruments.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7 pumps and it will fill full. This filling unit is smooth in it's operation and works flawlessly.

This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is Major Size model that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted. The 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .78mm when measured with digital calipers. The NIB has the split arrow design and is 14K gold. When writing the sample, the NIB performs very smoothly with a medium to a double broad stroke. In the writing sample provided (see image), the thinnest line measures at a medium .72mm stroke and the double broad line measured with digital calipers is roughly 1.65mm with medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.

The pencil is in fantastic condition in it's own right. The banding, clip and point display no brassing. The lead extends when twisting the upper portion cap of the pencil. It works as it should.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen Set in the Golden Pearl Celluloid that is in exceptional condition and would grade it in the Very Fine to Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
