For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1930s Waterman's 32 Blue & Cream Celluloid Fountain Pen with Chrome Trim. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

This fountain pen is made from celluloid in the blue cream pattern. The coloring on the cap is an excellent blue cream with some orange flecks in the celluloid material. The barrel is much darker than the cap but displays a clean imprint and bright lever box assembly. The barrel imprint at the center of the barrel is crisp and clean that reads, "WATERMAN'S REG. U.S. IDEAL GLOBE LOGO PAT. OFF MADE IN USA FOUNTAIN PEN". The butt end of the fountain pen has the 32 imprint.

The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished, and Waxed the outside of the cap and barrel to bring back the vibrancy of the material and to protect the celluloid. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new, silicone sac. Hand polished the Chrome plate Waterman Clip, Cap Banding, and Lever Box Assembly along with the Waterman Ideal 14K #2 NIB. There are no personalizations or monograms either the cap or the barrel. There are no cracks, nicks or repairs to the celluloid. This Waterman 32 is a full-size fountain pen that measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 6 1/4" posted.

The lever and box assembly have been cleaned and oiled. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills wonderfully. The lever is crisp and clean with very little wear to the chrome. The Clip has been polished and displays minor wear. The cap banding is starting to display minor wear but above average condition for the age of this pen.

This Waterman 14K Ideal nib has some great flexibility all while writing smoothly. When measuring the actual tip of the 14K Ideal #2 NIB, it measures at .59mm with digital calipers. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a fine line measuring roughly .56mm with very light pressure and flexes up to 1.67mm with normal to medium pressure; I didn't want to overextend the NIB's capabilities. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. I cannot emphasize this enough, the nib writes extremely smooth with a wet line. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This vintage Waterman's 32 Fountain Pen is in ready to write condition using the wonderful smooth flexible NIB. I would consider the condition of this fountain pen to be in fine to very fine condition, an excellent user grade Waterman. An excellent addition to your writing arsenal collection.
